 Carmen found his talent as a young man. As a self-taught artist, he began painting with oils in the early 1950’s, and continued thru into the early 1970’s. After a hiatus of more than 30 years, he picked up his brush again in 2001, painting with acrylics. Many of his paintings have been displayed throughout the Mohawk Valley including Munson-Williams- Proctor Art Institute. Presently, Carmen is a member of the Utica Art Association.
